The Covid-19 restrictions and recent loss of land usage at Kurri Kurri has necessitated major changes to the Championships programme and event locations. There will be no central event arena at Kurri however onsite camping will be available at the Cessnock Pony Club grounds (Neath).

The events in the Kurri Kurri area are all within 10 minutes driving time or a little longer if you prefer to ride to warm up before the event. In some ways, the changes have been a bonus as you will be riding on the pick of the areas for the Sprint and Middle events. We have also found a gem of an area at Neath for the Long Distance.

We will have further details on accommodation options and the presentation dinner at Kurri Bowling Club in Bulletin 2.

ENTRY UPDATE: Due to the current travel restrictions and the possibility of changes to the restrictions, a full refund will be offered to competitors where they have been impacted by any changes to their travel.

Entries will open on 16th August and close on 13th September.

To assist with planning for the event ( Numbers attending, Presentation Dinner, camping, awards etc) there will be a pre entry available for the Championships.

PRE ENTRY: A Pre Entry for the Championships is available now on Eventor. On the pre entry you will be asked to indicate if you are attending the Presentation Dinner and camping. Pre entries will close on 15th August prior to full entries opening. It will be a big help to the organisers if you take the time to complete the pre entry. Pre entry is free!

Camping: Camping will be available at Cessnock Pony Club grounds (Carrs Road, Neath) There will be porta loos however, no onsite showers are available due to cleaning restrictions brought on by Covid-19. If restrictions change we will let you know. The cost of camping is $15 per person for one or two nights if required. Camping is only 500m from the Long Distance start area.

Bulletin 2: Bulletin 2 will be available in the coming weeks with updated details on the event planning and courses.

Event Centres:

An updated map showing the event locations, camping and presentation

Old Maps: Old maps for the Mass Start, Sprint and Middle areas will be posted on Eventor in the coming weeks.

The upside of Covid-19 is that all the maps have changed as many of the local mtb riders spent their time in isolation building new tracks. It has been a battle finding all the new tracks and updating the maps. Many of the tracks will be a buzz to ride let alone navigate around!
